The Bag That Never Was

In order to grow as an artist you must accept and learn from your failures. At least that is what I tell myself when I screw up! I had high hopes for the bag pictured in the sketch above, but when it came time to actually start creating it turned out to be a disaster. The material just did not work the design I had pictured. All that remains of this attempt is a skeletal frame and some scraps to match. I thought I’d post the drawing to show a glimpse of what this bag could have been. Perhaps I'll try this design with a different fabric. We’ve all been there, and luckily I came out of it with some left over fabric, and some ideas for a new project!

The fact that you created the sketch and therefore a blueprint for a later date means you've created a success!

VERY cool!
